Anya Taylor-Joy

Anya Taylor Joy, a half-Spanish, half-English woman was born on April 16th, 1997 in Miami Florida. The daughter of Dennis Alan Taylor, a former banking executive and Jennifer Marina Joy, a psychologist named Anya Taylor-Joy. His father was Argentine, of Scottish-English descendance. The mother of Taylor-Joy is Spanish and has English roots. Taylor-Joy's siblings are four of her father's previous marriage. The family was in Buenos Aires up until Taylor-Joy reached the age of six, then moved to Victoria district of London. According to Taylor-Joy the removal was extremely difficult for her and she refused to learn English to the hope of moving back to Argentina. The school she attended had to be changed between Northlands in order to attend Hill House. After that, she went to Queen's Gate School in London, where she took ballet classes and took part in drama productions. After 16 she quit the school to explore acting as a profession. Taylor-Joy was always aware of her desire to become an actor. She was given a chance by Sarah Doukas founder of Storm Management, who offered her the opportunity to model.
