Lucy Liu, an American voice actor, producer and singer, is also an outstanding actress. A beautiful, smart and talented actress, she's a great inspiration to Asian actors who are aspiring to be big stars in Hollywood. After a series of initial appearances in some popular series she achieved fame when she joined the cast of the legal comedy series Ally McBeal where she played the malicious Ling Woo. After her success, she landed major part for her in Shanghai Noon (1998) and Charlie's Angels (2000). The actress then gave an amazing performance as Japanese criminal O'Ren Ishii in Quentin Tarantino's Kill Bill Volume 1. She also played leading characters in failed box office films like Rise: Blood Hunter. In animated movies such as Kung Fu Panda, Tinker Bell and many others, she voiced characters with prominent voices. Mia Mason, in Cashmere Mafia and other small screen characters, failed to achieve any success. Southland is a critically-acclaimed series of police dramas that featured Liu in recurring parts, helped to establish her as an actress. Liu is very careful in picking her roles to ensure that she does not become cast in a very competition-driven industry.
