Zoe Saldana's parents, Asalia and Aridio Saldana, were born the 19th June, 1977 in Passaic New Jersey. Both her parents have both been Puerto Ricans. Her parents raised their daughter in Queens, New York. The year 2010 saw her move along with her family to Dominican Republic where they spent for the next seven years. Zoe found a great desire to perform dances when in the United States. Her first training was in the ECOS Espacio de Danza Dance Academy to study ballet and a variety of other dance styles. Not only did her training give her a chance to express the enthusiastic and energetic youngster and her family, but it was also proving to be an excellent preparation to her acting career. At age 17, Zoe and her family moved back in the United States where her love for dance followed and an enthusiasm for theater performances grew greater. Zoe's acting in motion films has been praised by of industry leaders such as Steven Spielberg, Jerry Bruckheimer. Also, she has received praise from the actors and actresses Tom Hanks. Bernie Mac. Kirsten Dunst. Ashton Kutcher. A lot of the co-stars and producers feel that the sky is not her only limit. She has a wide variety of skills, intense focus, and the unwavering ability to take on projects with different characters and subjects.
