
Stephanie Sigman is a Mexican American actress. Her first role was in Miss Bala (2011), the Mexican crime drama film. She then appeared in Pioneer (2013), Spectre (2015) and Going Under (2016). On TV, Sigman starred in Narcos (2015) and S.W.A.T (2017) for the first and second seasons of both series. Sigman was born in Ciudad Obregon, Sonora, Mexico, to an Mexican mother and an American father, Lee Sigman, a New York Yankees scout from Kansas. His brother and the baseball player Kenneth Ray Sigman married actress Barbara Mori Sigman. Before making her film debut in Rio de Oro, she made her debut as a Mexican television star. In 2011 she played the lead role in the film Laura Guerrero in the Mexican crime drama film, Miss Bala. The film was picked as the Mexican entry in the Best Foreign Language Film at the 84th Academy Awards,[7][8] but it was not included on the final cut.
